Bicycle Road of Doom on Kauai, Hawaii: Koke'e to Kekaha

When you hear the words, "It's all downhill from here," that does not always mean they are talking about the economy.

On Kauai, Hawaii, it means that you are on the tip top of the Koke'e Mountain Park about to embark on an unforgettable bicycle adventure. There are several outdoor companies who will haul you and the bikes to the starting point. After they feed you breakfast and just when the sun is rising, they will set you loose rolling down the big hill. At an altitude of about 3,600 feet, you will be coasting the 12-mile journey to Kekaha town.
