Police in bike challenge for charity (From The Northern Echo)

A TEAM of police officers are preparing to cycle the coast-to-coast route to raise funds for a blood cancer charity.
Ten officers from the Consett neighbourhood policing team, along with three colleagues from other departments in the police station, will undertake the 140 mile journey from Whitehaven to Tynemouth.
PCSO Michael Craine, who is unable to cycle for medical reasons and will be part of a support team, said: “The Consett YMCA have kindly given us the loan of their mini-bus, so we decided to support.
